A shout out to our business partners who will hire our Cooperative Education students at the end of the school year. These students trained at these companies during the school year, and now will become valuable employees for them.

This week we had students come to a week long summer camp for our Culinary Arts and Computer Programming programs thanks to United Way. We hope you enjoyed your time with us at the Mercer County Career Center!

Early Childhood Education celebrated the end of the year with a little graduation ceremony that the little ones performed for family and released butterflies together!

We gave out lots of prizes in a raffle to students who earned STRIVE tickets throughout the school year during our field day and some gift cards to the following students for perfect attendance during March and during April: Drue Martin Dillon Minshull Christian McFarland D'Amante Hendon Madison Link Haley Lords Congrats to everyone!!!

Congratulation to Steven Beachy, a recent graduate in our diesel mechanics program from Commodore Perry. He was one of 75 students who applied for an apprenticeship program at Cleveland Brothers Caterpillar. Steven was 1 of 10 students who was then accepted into Cat’s apprenticeship program. His apprenticeship includes a $10,000 tool allowance, paid schooling through Caterpillar and he will work full-time in the shop, training with veteran mechanics when not in school. A special thanks to Chad Stokes who took the time to come to MCCC and present him with this news and his instructor Mr. Toth for preparing him and helping him through the application process. Congratulation again and best of luck to you Steven!

The Culinary Arts program donated French Baguettes to the Mercer County food bank and I'm sure they tasted delicious!

Thanks for checking out MCCC, Reynolds 8th grade! We hope you enjoyed your time and learned a lot! Hope to see some of those faces in our classes in a few years.

Last week our Logistics and Service Occupations programs took a tour of Joy Cone's warehouse facilities. Thanks for the tour Joy Cone!

Last week our National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) took a trip to the Cleveland Zoo and stopped at Quaker Steak and Lube after and had a blast!

This year's Award Night Ceremony will be held at Thiel College! Seniors need to arrive at the Passavant Center by 6:00 PM, with their gowns. MCCC asks that each student limit guests to six. Tickets are not necessary to attend. We hope to see you on Awards Night 2024! Graduation gowns will be distributed to seniors after the graduation practice, held at MCCC on May 21st during the AM and PM sessions. Please note that student attire for Awards Night is Business Dress.
