Mercer County Career Center students will return to the full-time instructional model beginning Monday, March 1 with all students attending on their regular morning or afternoon schedule 5 days a week. Students who have been on full remote learning will have the option to continue remote learning. Students are reminded to observe our safety and health plan by entering through the bus entrance for daily health screening, wearing a mask when entering the building and while in class, frequent hand washing and social distancing. Students who are currently under quarantine, awaiting results of a COVID test or experiencing flu-like symptoms should not attend school until symptom free or cleared by a medical professional. Student drivers and riders are reminded to comply with driving rules by having or obtaining an active driver and/or rider pass. Mercer County Career Center will have a remote learning day, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16th, due to the winter storm. Students and staff should work from home as a normal remote learning day. High school students should sign into the Canvas Learning System as you normally would. Nursing students will be contacted by your instructor for further Direction. Secondary students will follow the hybrid schedule starting on Wednesday and return on Thursday. Nursing students should plan on returning on Wednesday.
This is to notify our Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development class that those students may return to in-person classes on the hybrid schedule on Thursday, January 28th. MCCC currently has 2 active COVID-19 cases. Any student that has been identified as a close contact has been notified. Tomorrow, Wednesday January 20, is a remote learning day for all MCCC students. Unless you have been informed of changes to your class schedule, unaffected classes will resume as normal under our hybrid schedule on Thursday, January 21st.

We'd also like to remind you that if you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for the COVID virus in the past 10 days, should observe a personal quarantine for a full 10 days after your exposure. If you are experiencing a fever, sore throat, cough or other flu-like symptoms, you should remain at home until symptom free for 24 hours without medication, or until after you received a negative covid test. Students should sign in to Canvas for remote instruction this week, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday before starting your holiday vacation. On January 4th, we will return to our hybrid schedule with 1st year students attending on Monday and Tuesday and 2nd and 3rd year students attending in person classes on Thursday and Friday. All students will continue remote learning on Wednesdays. Again, all students will go on remote learning next week, Monday, December 21 thru Wednesday, December 23.
