MCCC Inductees 2023-2024

Mercer County Career Center inducted the 9th group of members to represent the society on November 1, 2023.  In total eighteen new members were inducted, joining members from the previous year.  These students were all recognized for having stellar attendance records, no suspensions, having excellent character, performing service, and displaying leadership. After initial nomination, each student was required to apply for membership. They were then formally selected by a faculty committee.

NTHS students are required to complete service year, even during the most difficult of circumstances.  This year students assisted with the annual Toys for Tots Drive.  They also completed individual service projects choosing something that would have a benefit on their own local community. Many students made contributions to their local food pantries and animal shelters. Others found helping neighbors and the elderly a necessity. Each student in the society has learned the impact of small deed on the larger community.

NTHS advisors, Andrea Hoovler and Nancy Brooks, are looking forward to next year when the society will continue regular foods drives and book drives that the entire school participates in.  In the past, NTHS also hosted fundraisers that students and staff look forward to, such as Donut Day, Spaghetti Dinners, and Secret Santa sales.  The society usually enjoys an annual field trip and luncheon, as well.
