SPORTS MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION THERAPY INSTRUCTOR
Beginning 2025-2026 School Year
Mercer County Career Center has a vacancy for a Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Therapy Instructor to teach students in grades 10th – 12th
Required Qualifications:
Possess a current and valid license/certification from the PA Department of State in one or more of the following: Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant
Minimum of four years (8,000 hours) comprehensive wage-earning experience directly related to the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation
Willingness and ability to complete all necessary steps toward obtaining permanent teacher’s certification through the PA Department of Education
A desire to work with and motivate high school students
Management and oversight of classroom materials, equipment, and facility
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Mercer County Career Center offers a competitive salary, outstanding benefits, and a positive work environment. A successful candidate must be able to obtain Act 34, 114, 151, 168 clearances and physical exam required if selected for the position.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Day-to-day substitute instructors for career and technical classes. Individuals with teacher certifications and individuals with four years documented work experience in an occupational area may be eligible. Course areas include Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Collision Repair and Refinishing, Computer Information Technology, Computer Programming, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Diesel Technology, Early Childhood Education, Electrical Occupations, Logistics and Material and Supply Chain Management, Health Care Careers and Welding.
